What are the best seats at Monza Italy F1?
I went there in 2008, at the first wet Italian F1 in 17 years. There was absolutely no preparation, which was ridiculous. In any case, it was still a good experience. There are plenty of entertainment / manufacturer / sponsor stands, and places to sit and eat, plus Kangaroo TV.
It’s easy to stay in Milan and then either get free public transport to the track (ask your hotel) or drive, using your Satnav or following the plentiful ‘autodromo’ signs. However, when you get near, there is no signage. At all. So the only thing to do is get there EARLY and drive around the track looking for P signs close to the wall of the circuit area.
I did so and parked inexpensively, then walked around 45 mins to where my seating was – ticket sellers will give you a reasonably decent map so you can make out where the main gate entrance is. Walking for long distances is simply a fact of Monza.
I erroneously went for stand 8, because I did not know that trees blocked the view down the straight.
Stand 6 is the best I think – it will show the straight and the chicane as well. But bring sun-screen and/or an umbrella!
