Rush is set to hit cinemas in later 2013.
It’s a film about Niki Lauda and James hunt, and their awe-inspiring fights and battles through the 1970s, for the World Drivers Championships.
Directed by Ron Howard, the film is going to introduce some people to F1 who are totally new to the sport. And for F1 fans, it will offer a thrilling glimpse into a Golden Age of motor racing.
Obviously the main question is: will it be a good film in it’s own right?
It cannot be coincidence that filming would have taken place after the Senna film – perhaps
Ron Howard saw Senna and was inspired by the power of hearing F1 car in a cinema. The awesome whine of the engine is indeed inspiring and such things alone should make for a great film.
