Do not like.
I’m not blaming Pirelli, as they are doing what they were asked to do.
But I strongly dislike it that a car can over-take another car *purely* and only based on tyre wear.
Moreover, strategy and intelligent driving are always part of F1 – but a driver must be able to push to the limit wherever possible.
Driving *too much* in a certain way to save tyres is a deceit, something that has no parity with the nature of Formula 1.
On any tyre type, this needs to be taken into account anyway.
Making it more vitally important takes away from the push-to-the-limit factor of Formula 1 driving.
However, many people seem to say that it has made races more “exciting”, so I expect more of the same in 2012.
