The Albert Park GP is a weird one… weird because anyone I have spoken to or read about going to the race moans that there isn’t much shade, they always run out of bottled water, and the food is crap – but say it’s one of their best (if not the best) F1 experiences. (so, bringing an umbrella, sun-block and your own food/drink is a must)
As an old-style street track, the grandstands themselves aren’t that good, as they don’t show that much of the track, but are still expensive.
Many people favour the General Admission areas, as you can wander round to get a good view, as well as get right up close to the track – maybe the closest of all F1 circuits.
This shows just how close you can get at turn 6.
Some people recommend general admission for the Albert Park F1 GP.
With General Admission, you can get very close to the track, especially around turn 6.
Other good stands are turn 16, which gives the best F1 view from the Schumacher stand, and the pit straight, which is Fangio and Senna at Albert Park, Melbourne Australia.
So turn 5 and turn 6 are always very popular.
